About the event

How’s your credit and do you understand how it could impact seeing your dream come alive?

Your credit report serves as your financial reference to companies and lenders and can have a significant impact on the options you have when seeking funding for your business. When you apply for business credit, your personal credit will be a major factor into whether you will receive credit and how much you’ll pay for it.

In this workshop we’ll explore the dynamics of credit including credit reporting, personal & business creditworthiness, how credit reporting works, the benefits to small business in credit reporting, the risks from credit scams and, strategies to build or improve your credit!

Join us to learn more about one of the most important areas in seeing your dream of starting a business come alive.

Presented By: Brendan O'Meara, Chief Credit Officer of Scale Bank

About Brendan - Locally Grown!

I have done many things in my career, from biochemistry to accounting and IT project management. In many ways, the jobs that provided me with the most satisfaction were in construction, because I could see the fruits of my labor at the end of every day. Nothing makes you feel better than to stand up at the end of a long day, covered in dirt and sweat and dust, looking over a completed project and knowing that you had a hand in building it.

In a similar way, that is what I love most about community banking. I get a chance to see and feel a connection to the "real world". I can provide guidance and funding to help a small business prosper. That successful business will help to serve as the foundation for the American economy. Perhaps more importantly, it might put food on the table for the families who live in my community or it might create a family legacy when it is passed down from grandparents to grandchildren. As a community banker, I can help my friends and neighbors build small businesses that are locally grown.
